State, Country:
Cambridge, MA USA
Researcher(s):

Project Description:
The aim of this proposal is to evaluate the role of meat intake on breast cancer, using data from the Nurses’ Health Study, with emphasis on the major mutagenic heterocyclic amines from prepared meat and breast cancer hormone receptors. The findings will increase our understanding of the role of meat mutagens in breast carcinogenesis as this area of research is largely unexplored.
